56.2 Pounds down…

I have currently lost a total of 56.2 pounds so far! Not too much and not too little. It truly is a marathon and not easy along the way.

I have made great food choices for the most part, but if I’m being honest my relationship with food has changed drastically. I used to eat for enjoyment, frustration, being in a good mood – or bad mood, stress, boredom.

I even used to binge eat the last of something bad in our house and would justify it with the twisted thought that I was saving my husband and kids from eating too many calories, if I ate it instead.

But now, I feel like I don’t eat enough. I loved veggies and cooking in the beginning, which is how this entire thought of a Blog + Instagram page started. I still cook healthy, but it’s soccer and lacrosse season at the moment, and a lot of stressful blessings going on in the background also. But we are literally hanging on by a thread because we are all stretched too thin right now.

This season will not last forever, and we’ll soon be grilling nightly and eating fresh veggies and lean meat and taking nightly walks, but for now, I just try to get in protein, fiber, lots of water and sleep when I can…
